Did you know your deepest, inner most beliefs are in control over your love life? No, really it’s true!
As children we are little sponges, absorbing the beliefs of our caregivers and those we spend time with. As we grow up we begin filtering the world based on these limiting beliefs. We find people and situations in our life that reinforce our beliefs whether or not those beliefs are based in fact.
What does this have to do with your love life? If you learned women are after men for their money and men are only looking to have sex, you will interact with the opposite sex differently then if you have the belief that women are looking for a good family provider and that men find sex as way to connect with a woman and gain greater intimacy with her. With the first set of beliefs you aren’t going to trust potential relationship partners. If your beliefs are more in align with the second set, you’ll be more open to getting to know them better. Wouldn’t you agree?
This means by having a negatively skewed belief you will find yourself attracting more jerks and users rather than if you were to believe people are generally good. Consider if this is why all the men or women you attract seem to turn out the same – because you believe it at your inner core. Often we are unaware of our beliefs. Sometimes it takes having someone objectively identify the patterns supporting our beliefs can we see them.
You can change your core beliefs, although it takes work and happens over time. You didn’t develop these core beliefs overnight, you have been carrying them around for years. Once you do though, you’ll find yourself attracting a better quality partner into your life and you will notice subtle differences in how you show up in relationship.
Watch the video to find out more about how limiting beliefs keep you from finding love.
